Youth Keelboat Programs

For 11 - 17 year olds as of December 1, 2007.

Junior Crew - Keelboat

A program designed for juniors who have little to no sailing experience. Sailors will be introduced to the fundamentals of sailing while aboard our 22 - 24 foot keelboats. They will be taught all the sailing basics to achieve their CYA Basic Crew standard as well as their CYA Operator's Card.

FEE $350.00 + GST (includes text)

OBJECTIVE This course is designed to teach the basic skills and knowledge required to crew on a sailboat of up to 30 feet in length, safely and efficiently under sail or power in moderate wind and sea conditions.

CERTIFICATION AWARDED CYA Basic Crew Standard & CYA Operator's Card

Junior Skipper - Keelboat

A program for the junior who has their CYA White Sail III or has already acheived their CYA Basic Crew level. Intermediate juniors will work towards acheiving their CYA Basic Cruising Standard.

PRE-REQUISTES White Sail III or Basic Crew.
